Edge Connector Plating

The Edge Connector is the part of a printed circuit board (PCB) with traces leading to the edge of the board, shaped to plug into a matching socket. Applying hard gold plating onto edge connectors as gold fingers is highly recommended. Hard gold is extremely durable; thus, when it is applied to highuse areas, such as edge connectors, they can withstand more wear and tear .
